Thank You!

A great big thank you to each and every one of you who persevered through the road construction and came to the shop during the Tri-County Quilt Tour.  It was great fun and a great success.  Now it is time to tidy up after the party and get things restocked...hopefully I will see you again soon.  And before you know it, it will be time for the June Shop Hop!  So in spite of the dust and noise going on outside,  I hope you find some tranquility and inspiration inside the doors.  Finished some bunnies today.  Now what shall I work on next???  Oh, yeah...taxes.

Snow Days

Here are some photos of the long awaited "Snow Days" quilt from Crabapple Hill.  Kits are ready.  The cost is $185.00 for the collection of 45 fat quarters, 3 yards stitchery fabric, 4 yards backing and binding.  The pattern is sold seperately for $25.00.  The floss is also sold seperately.  I used Black DMC for all the stitching and then added some M43 Valdani for the french knot berries.  I LOVE this quilt.  And Megan Best did an outstanding job quilting it.  Give me a call or email me if you want a kit or pattern.

Kok Road info-March 7th

What a gorgeous morning!  Today I am hoping to get the binding and sleeve sewn onto "Snow Days".  I am very pleased with it and will post photos as soon as it is (finally) finished!

If you are attempting to get to Folktales today the easiest route would be to come from the Guide-Meridian.  There is a flagger a few hundred feet down the hill from the shop and the sign says "Road Closed" but they will let you through to get to the shop, so be persistent!  If things change over the next few days I will be sure to let you know.

The city of  Lynden has decided it is time to upgrade Kok Road.  This is a long overdue improvement, but it will make getting to Folktales more challenging.  I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you, but I will do my best to keep you apprised of any detours or road closures.  I do hope you will all bear with me through this inconvenience.  As things progress please check in on this blog site to see what the current conditions are.  If you have any questions my phone number is 360-354-0855.  My email is: folktales@netzero.net.  I do truly value your business as well as your friendships so I will endeavor to keep you as informed as possible.  Thank you so very much for your continued support.

Welcome

Welcome to Folktales' Blog!  It is my feeble attempt (with the help of my savvy children) to keep you updated on some of the new projects and ideas available in the Shop.  I hope it is a helpful tool for you!
