more fun stuff...

The Chicken Quilt is finished!  Nikki did an awesome job quilting it.  The outside border has
 CHICKEN FEATHERS!

Here is a close up of some of the stitcheries/quilting.  I am so delighted with how this quilt turned out.
Here are finished samples from Lilyanna Stitches.  There are 12 different wool blocks -
one for each month.

And this is Kathy Schmitz's "Spring Has Sprung"
And great fun new fabric!  Rainboots and umbrellas and frogs...oh my!
 And here
(...drum roll please...)
is my ROW X ROW design.

Windmills and barns and raindrops and           fruit trees...looks like Lynden to me!
I am so happy with it.  Now I just have to figure out the instructions and make kits.  Lots and lots of kits!
And-ready or not-the first bolts of
Christmas fabrics have arrived!
No excuse (except that the sun is calling us outdoors!)
There are ALL sorts of fun new projects to work on.
Hope you have a chance to stop in and have a look!

Happy Easter!

It is official...Spring is here!  Hope you all have a blessed Easter
celebrating with people that you love.

I have finished a few projects and, as always, have several more on the go.  This owl quilt "Peek A Hoo" just got finished yesterday.  I make him out of flannel.  The feathers on his tummy are loose tabs that little fingers can lift up.  Love the tactile extras!  The kit is $64.95 with flannel backing, or $78.95 with yellow minkee backing.  The book is $18.99 and sold separately.  It is loaded with adorable and easy children's quilts.
Here is a Spring Quilt that I made a year or 2 ago.  Still love the soft tones and sweet embroidery.  I used watercolor pencils on this one before I did the stitching.  It is called "Simply Spring"
and the kit, including the pattern, is $39.95
I finished "Spring Has Sprung" by designer Kathy Schmitz!
And I am only a couple of days late!!

So now I have started "Summer Sun"....the pressure is on!

Thank goodness for Transfer Eze!  Only $1.50 a sheet and saves tons of time tracing!  Some modern technology ain't so bad!  Just photocopy your pattern onto the Transfer Eze, peel off the paper backing, finger press it down onto the fabric and WAH-LAH!  You are ready to stitch! Just rinse or wash the fabric piece when you are done and the Transfer Eze dissolves.  This pattern needed 2 sheets so I stitched the first side using Transfer Eze, washed it, pressed it, and now I have layed the 2nd sheet of Transfer Eze onto the fabric, lining up the overlapping lines, and I am ready to go!

Here are the amazing buttons and counted cross stitch kits from The Bee Company.  I think this is my favorite new product in the shop.  The buttons and frames are wood.  There are hundreds of button packs to use for embellishing any thing you might want to, and little frames with buttons included to make charming ornaments with just a wee bit of counted cross stitch.  I didn't think I would ever do counted cross stitch again, but these have tempted me beyond my ability to resist.  The 34 count cafe au lait linen arrived yesterday.. So excited!  Will I ever have time to read a good book again?  Thank goodness for Audible!  Yes, again I have to be thankful for technology.
And just so I don't get bored...I have begun my Row x Row "Home Sweet Home" blocks.  These are the colors and fabrics I am working with.  Hope you enjoy the sneak peek!
